This year’s winner of The Voice has already been crowned, even if the show is still in its blind audition phase.
Twitter erupted with praise for the pre-teen soon after she finished her performance and impressed the judges.

‘Give Janaki the crown right now,’ one fan wrote.
‘Ladies and gentleman, WE ALREADY HAVE A WINNER. JANAKI MUST WIN THIS SHOW,’ added another.
‘Ok she may be 12 but Janaki is my favourite of the season so far,’ cooed a third.

Janaki showed no sign of nerves as she took to the stage and belted out the chart-topping song.
Coach Guy Sebastian’s first question was about the young singer’s age.
‘I have to ask straight away, I have to ask straight away, how old are you?’ he asked.

After leaving the judges gobsmacked after revealing she was only 12, Guy soon focused on Janaki’s Indian heritage.
‘I could tell that’s a real musician singing up there. Have you grown up listening to any Indian music?’ he asked.
Janaki soon revealed she sings Indian classical music before giving the judges an impromptu performance.

‘That classical Indian side mixed with indie pop, for me, that’s just such an edge, that’s just such an edge,’ Guy said, making his pitch to coach her.
Jess then said her own Indonesian culture made her the perfect coach for the Melbourne kid.
Janaki ended up choosing Jess Mauboy as her coach.

However, a number of fans on Twitter were less-than-impressed with the inclusion of a 12-year-old in the high-pressure competition.
‘Wow I would not allow my 12-year-old daughter on a TV show where so many people are watching (and) can say anything they want,’ one fan wrote, in part.
Another fan echoed similar concerns for the young singer.
Critical: A number of viewers were concerned about Janaki’s young age
‘I don’t think it’s a great idea to have kids in such a high-stress competition anyway, def, not at 12. They have plenty of time to work on their talent.’
‘She’s absolutely amazing but I think 12-years-old is too young to be up against adults. Hopefully they bring back The Voice Kids,’ wrote another.
