Wendy Williams doubles down on claim she is ‘married’ despite her rep denying it
Wendy Williams’ marital status is at the center of scrutiny, amid conflicting reports that she wed a New York Police Department officer named Henry.
On Wednesday, the New Jersey-born talk show host, 58, told Hollywood Unlocked CEO Jason Lee that she is married, after her rep Will Selby told multiple outlets that she hadn’t gotten married.
‘Everyone seems to have a problem with that – I’m married; I’m married, I don’t care who knows it, I’m married,’ the talk show host told Hollywood Unlocked in a phone interview.

Williams confirmed that Selby is her rep, adding, that ‘Will sees no point in me getting married, but you know what, f*** Will – 14 years I’ve known him, and I’ve always said f*** him, in a good way.’
Selby on Wednesday told Page Six that Williams’ claim that she had gotten married was ‘inaccurate,’ adding, ‘She is excited about a new relationship and probably got carried away in conversation. Wendy doesn’t wish to disclose details at the moment.’
Selby provided additional details in a statement he submit to Entertainment Tonight Wednesday, saying that Williams ‘is excited about everything new in her life and her main priority is her health and shooting her first episode of her podcast.’
He added, ‘That’s the focus right now. You never know anything is serious when it comes to the affairs of the heart until it’s serious.’

During Tuesday’s episode of his podcast Gagging With Jason Lee, Lee said that he had received a call from Wendy who told him that she had married a police officer named Henry last week. He spoke with her again Wednesday, when she repeated the claim
Selby also told ET he had no intentions of trying to make Hollywood Unlocked’s Lee look bad in denying his report that Williams was married after their phone conversation.
‘Nobody is trying to make Jason look like he lacks credibility, that is never my intent,’ Selby said. ‘All I did was respond to a question I was asked. Like I said previously, the focus is Wendy’s health and preparing to shoot the podcast.’
During the Tuesday episode of his podcast Gagging With Jason Lee, Jason said that he had received a call from Wendy who informed him that she was coming to Los Angeles on Friday.
‘And she says, “I’m married,”‘ he recounted. ‘I’m like, “What?” She’s like, “I got married.”
The podcast host continued, ‘I’m like, “You got married when?” And she’s like, “I got married last week.”‘

While Wendy headlined the program from 2008 until earlier this year, she did not appear in the final episode of the show.
Instead of Williams, guest host Sherri Shepherd hosted it. She had stepped in back in February to take over for Williams while she dealt with a number of chronic illnesses.
In June, TMZ reported that Williams had almost completely lost feeling in her feet due to lymphedema, a disease caused by a blockage in the lymphatic system.
She’s also dealing with Graves’ disease, an immune disorder caused by an overproduction of thyroid hormones.

In July, Wendy told the New York Post, ‘There was nothing I liked about the [final episode of] Wendy Williams Show.’
When asked why she didn’t host the final episode of the series, she responded by telling the outlet that the production company Debmar-Mercury didn’t ask her to.
‘Debmar-Mercury, in my opinion, should have done it with [me], not these other people on The Wendy Williams Show,’ the star said. ‘Except for Fat Joe.’
Fat Joe is a rapper who filled in on the show a number of times for Williams over the years.
Williams also talked her plans to host her new podcast titled The Wendy Experience.
‘If you’re extremely famous like I am, [hosting a podcast] will make more money than being on The Wendy Williams Show,’ she said.
She continued, ‘What I want to do is podcast, and I want to have a restaurant.’

At the time, the Think Like a Man star also said she was looking to get lucky in her personal life.
‘If I don’t do anything else, including podcast, I would love to fall in love. I want to f**k,’ she joked. ‘Excuse me, I’m gorgeous. Can I f***?’

Back in May, Wendy was assigned a financial guardian in order to gain ‘access to her millions.’
Wendy previously said: ‘Wells Fargo has no questions and answers regarding my money. This is not fair. And Lori Schiller and Wells Fargo has this guardianship petition about keeping me away from my money. This is not right and this is not fair.’
