What time is Dispatches on Channel 4 tonight? How can I watch it on streaming services?

  • The episode could potentially ‘halt the career of at least one celebrity’

Channel 4‘s award-winning Dispatches series is set to air its latest exposé tonight, reportedly unearthing the bad behaviour of a well-known A-list celebrity.

The show, which has not shied away from controversial topics in its 36-year history, is expected to release information ‘hugely damaging’ to its central subject.

It will reportedly reference a number of celebrities in the industry.

Yesterday, Channel 4 News anchor Krishnan Guru-Murthy stirred expectations after hastily deleting a tweet saying ‘something’s up’ amid the growing mystery of who and what could be the subject of the airing, set to be broadcast tonight.

Sources close to Mr Guru-Murthy, 53, who has worked for Channel 4 for 25 years, said that he was told to take it down as the nature of the programme is ‘sensitive.’

What time is Dispatches on Channel 4 tonight?

Dispatches is due to air on Channel 4 at 9pm on Saturday 16 September.

The preview online does not hint at what viewers might expect from the latest documentary.

Instead it describes Dispatches simply as an ‘investigative series covering issues in British society, politics, international current affairs, health, religion and the environment’.

Radio Times magazine also had the programme in this week’s listings, with the description: ‘Dispatches – Investigation series covering issues in British society, politics, international current affairs, health, religion and the environment.’

One TV insider told The Mirror that the special would be potentially damning to its subject.

They said: ‘This programme has been years in the making and is being edited up to the last minute. It has the potential to halt the career of at least one celebrity with the contents.’

The episode will also be shown again at 10:50pm on Sunday 17 September.

It will also be shown on Monday on sister channel 4seven at 9pm.

How can I watch it on streaming services?

If you cannot watch the live broadcast at 9pm on Channel 4, the episode will also become available on Channel 4’s online streaming service, All4.

You can register to watch the show free at channel4.com

The episode will last 90 minutes.
