Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson is soon due to appear in her new documentary Odd One Out.
The documentary will address the vicious trolling that Jesy has been subject to since her rise to fame.
In it, her boyfriend, Love Island’s Chris Hughes, will speak about how Jesy became so self-conscious that she previously didn’t let him see her without makeup on.
As we wait for Odd One Out to air, here’s a quick look at Jesy’s relationship history and how things are going with Chris now…
Diversity member Jordan dated Jesy for 10 months until their 2013 breakup.
Ahead of the release of Odd One Out, he came to his ex’s defence on Lorraine, saying: ‘It’s hard for someone in Jesy’s situation because where she’s been so successful and she’s done so much, people’s reaction will be, “Well if you want to do that you have to expect it.” It’s not quite like that.
‘People get on a phone or they get on a keyboard – imagine if people came up to you on the street and said what they say online; it’s just weird.’
In 2014, Jesy started dating Rixton front-man Jake.
The pair got engaged in 2015 as Ed Sheeran serenaded them at a performance, but they ended up splitting the following year.
Sources told The Sun Online at the time: ‘Their relationship became strained and they grew apart. They started rowing and it became too much.’
TOWIE star Chris and Jesy were together briefly in 2017, with Chris telling OK! Magazine: ‘Our relationship came at a difficult time, though, because the band were touring America, so we mostly spoke on the phone.
‘She was only in my life for about three months. I didn’t understand why she was interested in me – I’m just someone from Towie.
‘I always felt like second best to Jesy. But that was my issue, not hers.’
After her split from Chris Clark, Jesy was also in a relationship with musician Harry James who used to go by the stage name Fugative.
The two were together for 16 months before they split in November 2018.
A source told The Sun at the time: ‘Jesy and Harry enjoyed their time together but have decided to call it a day. There are no hard feelings between them and they remain good friends – just at the moment it makes sense for them to separate.’
Rumours started to fly that Jesy and Chris Hughes were an item back in January of this year when they started appearing in each other’s Instagram stories.
Things seem to be going very well between the two, with Chris saying just this month that he hopes to be married to Jesy and having kids within the next year and a half.
Chris is set to appear in Odd One Out, saying: ‘When I first started spending more time with her, especially staying around her house, I noticed that she had many insecurities and there were times where she wouldn’t let me see her physically without make-up.
‘Especially the first four or five times where I’d come round and we’d go on dates and stuff,’ he added.
‘She’d get up in the morning, almost before crack of dawn, to make sure she was out of bed and putting make up on and she got back into bed with a full face of make-up on.
‘I used to look at her and think she woke up like that, but she didn’t. She was pre-prepared and getting up in the morning.’
Jesy Nelson: Odd One Out airs tomorrow on BBC Three.
