Will Smith shared an emotional tribute to his eldest son, Trey Smith, on his 31st birthday.
The Fresh Prince shared words about the day he became a father to Instagram.
He lovingly captioned the birthday clip dedicated to his eldest: ‘Happy Bday, T-Ball. You are responsible for some of the highest experiences of my life.’
‘You introduced me to the true definition of Love! I met God in your eyes,’ added the Academy Award-winner.
Trey Smith was born to Will Smith and Sheree Zampino on November 11, 1992, in Los Angeles, California.

Sheree Zampino and Smith tied the knot on May 9, 1992, however the pair divorced three years later in 1995 – when Trey was two-years-old.
The same year, on September 22, 1995, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith went public with their relationship, according to The Economic Times.
Musically explaining the day his son was welcomed into the world, over three decades ago, Smith sung: ‘Cause I know I loved you more than life itself.’
Rapping the lyrics from his Big Willie Style style track, Just the Two of Us, Smith showcased footage of Trey’s childhood.
‘Willard Carroll Smith III was born on November 11, 1992. From birth we called him Trey, ’cause he was the third Willard Smith,’ said the 55-year-old.
‘From the first time the doctor placed you in my arms. I knew I’d meet death ‘fore I’d let you meet harm,’ admitted I Am Legend actor.
He confessed that he question whether he ‘would be man enough’ to be a father, vulnerably confessing it took them an hour to install the car seat.

Reciting the lyrics from his 1997 hit, Smith revealed he didn’t sleep ‘one wink’ that night, adding: ‘As I slipped out my bed, to your crib I crept. Touched your head gently, felt my heart melt.
‘Cause I know I loved you more than life itself. Then to my knees, and I begged the Lord please. Let me be a good daddy, all he needs.’
The rapper added how he pledged his life, to teach his first born all about knowledge and discipline.’
Smith confessed that his introduction to fatherhood was far more ’emotionally tumultuous’ than his melodic rhymes could convey.
The actor was transparent, noting that he was ‘overwhelmed with the immensity’ of the responsibility of fatherhood, pleading to God for guidance.
He said: ‘Could I put food on the table and keep the lights on without fail? Would I be strong enough to fend off someone who came to kill him?’
‘It’s 3 a.m., I’m on my knees, I’m just a little boy. I never wanted my daddy so bad in my life,’ added Smith.
‘And then, something clicked. Deep in a place where nothing had ever clicked before. A decision. An iron-clad conviction,’ he recited.
‘I wiped my tears, I stood up, I gently touched Trey’s head. And I knew there were only two possibilities.’
‘I was gonna be the best father this planet had ever seen. Or two, I was gonna be dead.’
