A 51-year-old woman has been arrested over an alleged hit and run in Victoria, which left a young boy hospitalised.
Five-year-old Angus, whose surname was not provided, was struck by a car at Geelong on his way home from school with another eight-year-old boy on Friday afternoon.
Police alleged afterwards the female driver initially stopped her vehicle and got out for a short time, only to get back in and drive off down Yarra Street.

Angus remains in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The five-year-old’s family on Saturday appealed for the driver to come forward, saying they did not hold any ill will towards them.
Greater Geelong Highway Patrol members arrested the 51-year-old woman at her Geelong home about 12:15pm on Monday.
Investigators interviewed her and she was later released.
Officers said the woman was expected to be charged on summons with failing to render assistance after a serious injury, failing to remain at the scene of an accident, and failing to report a collision to police.
Her car was seized and would be forensically examined.
