A woman who died after being savaged by two Rottweilers was a dog lover herself – who had recently married.
Marie Stevens’ chocolate Labrador was at the ceremony when she wed husband Steve.
The 40-year-old was found dead at her home in Brighton-le-Sands earlier this week.
One friend said: ‘She really loved her dog and animals in general.
‘It is awful what has happened to her.

On August 18, Ms Stevens was attacked by two Rottweilers and bitten multiple times on her arms and legs.
Friends has paid tribute to the ‘a big animal lover.’
Lainey Dawson said: ‘I worked with Marie. Marie was such a joy she made everyone laugh with her cracking one liners.
‘She knew how to brighten a day when it was dull. I’m thinking of her family and friends.’
Jailea Sophia said: ‘We worked together in a care home. Marie was a very bubbly and happy person.
‘She used to make me smile and laugh everyday at work asking to wear my big fluffy coat on her breaks. I will miss her.’
Danielle X Twigg said: ‘No I am absolutely heartbroken Marie Campbell was the kindest most loving lady I’ve ever met I can’t believe it.

The attack allegedly happened as tried Marie to stroke the dogs, who were on a lead, on Park Lane West, in Netherton.
It was reported that the dog owners, a man and a woman, tried to stop the Rottweilers.
The man then took the dogs away from the scene while the woman stayed with the victim until police arrived. Marie was given first aid until an ambulance arrived and took her to hospital where she was treated and later discharged.
A 41-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a dangerously out of control dog in a public place.
