Recently, popular YouTuber ElAnalystaDeBits posted a video comparing the gameplay of the latest Ubisoft title Watch Dogs: Legions on the Xbox One X and the Series X consoles. Xbox One X is arguably still relevant and features impressive hardware. However, the gameplay comparison goes on to show the differences in rendering detail between the two consoles.
The difference between the renderings on the Xbox Series X and the Xbox One X consoles are minute but noticeable
Watch Dogs is perhaps one of the most popular open-world franchises from the house of Ubisoft after Assassin’s Creed. The major USP of any open-world title or franchise is the detailing of the virtual world. From that perspective, Watch Dogs has been successful, more so because interacting with every other object in the game forms the core of the gameplay.
The detail in rendering finds an understandable enhancement on the Series X console. The difference in details on the Series X and the One X is really minute. One major noticeable difference is the range of dynamic lighting. Series X provides more range and dynamics, changing the nature of reflections, fog, and rain.
Moreover, the Series X console renders colors and color differences in more minute detail as compared to One X. However, note that the Series X gameplay clips of Watch Dogs: Legions are from the promotional content by Ubisoft. The final gameplay might differ from this, but we doubt the difference will be huge.
