Beth Dutton shockingly smashed a bottle over a woman’s head just for flirting with her husband Rip Wheeler On Sunday night’s episode of Yellowstone on Paramount Network.

The brazen assault took place when the ranch hands went to a local bar to celebrate. Beth [Kelly Reilly] was on the dance floor enjoying herself when she saw the woman flirt with Rip [Cole Hauser]. 

The next moment, Beth hit the woman over the head with a beer bottle causing the entire bar to break out into a bar brawl. After the Sheriff’s broke up the fight, Beth went up to the woman and punched her in the face. Beth then flipped out when the woman said she was pressing charges.

Rip tried to tell Sheriff Bill Ramsey [Rob Kirkland] that Beth was just protecting herself after a bouncer put her in a chokehold. He told Bill that pressing charges against Beth would cause real problems for him.

The episode titled Tall Drink of Water opened with a flashback with young John Dutton (Josh Lucas) then just a commissioner dealing with the then-governor officials and an angry community about the repercussions of Canadian imported wolves being set free in their land. John told the government officials that there were already five confirmed wolf kills on his property.

‘If you can’t protect us like you promised, then they will be forced to take matters into their own hands,’ John said.

Back in the present day on the ranch, Beth told Rip that she had to go to Salt Lake to tie up loose ends. John was also up and asked where she was going.

‘I was thinking about your mother,’ John said. ‘She was a magnificent woman. I wish she would have lived long enough for you to recognize that I know how much she loved you.’

‘Dad you can love a memory all you want but it can’t love you back,’ Beth said as she walked off. ‘Find someone that you can love while you are still young enough to do it.’

At the ranch, US Fish and Wildlife officers showed up and told Rip that they ‘fished a radio collar out of the Yellowstone River.’

‘GPS showed the animal was on a portion of your ranch for roughly three days, before returning to the park and ending up in the river somehow’ the officer said.

Rip said he hadn’t seen any wolves around the ranch. The officers said they hadn’t found the wolves, just a collar strapped to a log.

‘Sounds like poachers,’ Rip said.

Kayce said they were going to bury him at the ranch. Mo said they would need a horse spirit to carry his son to the other side.

Monica went inside upset, started cutting off her hair with a knife and curled up on the floor crying.

Sarah Atwood [Dawn Olivieri], the attorney for Market Equities, and Ellis Steele [John Emmet Tracy] went to see Jamie Dutton [Wes Bentley] at his office. They had already filed a suit against the state for stopping the airport and development lease project.

Rob signed the papers and Beth returned to the ranch. Caroline Warner [ Jacki Weaver] watched the news when it was announced the Berson International had purchased Schwartz & Meyer.

Ellis walked in and told Caroline that Beth had placed all the land in a conservation.
