You Season 2 photos reveal first look at Penn Badgley plus new cast members Chris D’Elia and more

Netflix has released the first photos for You Season 2, which debuts on the streaming service December 26.

The first season of the series debuted on Lifetime last year, but when the network ultimately passed on the second season, it was revived by Netflix.

Penn Badgley returns as Joe Goldberg, with the photos revealing a first look at Joe this season, along with several new cast members including Chris D’Elia.

While the first season of You was set in New York City, the second season will bring Joe Goldberg to Los Angeles, as he searches for his new obsession.

In the first New York-set season, the object of Goldberg’s obsession was an aspiring writer named Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail).

This season, Joe sets his sights on an up and coming chef named Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti, from Netflix’s Haunting of Hill House).

Quinn was described as a woman, ‘who doesn’t care about social media’ who is also, ‘tending to a deep grief.’

Upon meeting Joe, Quinn, ‘senses a shared knowledge of profound loss’ which draws her to him.

Netflix revealed in January that You was on track to be watched by more than 40 million subscribers during its first four weeks on the streaming service.

Another features Joe interacting with another new character, Ellie, played by Jenna Ortega, described as ‘”a teenager who grew up fast in the big city,’ according to Deadline.

Ellie is secretly living by herself with minimal supervision despite being underage, and she turns to conning the adults she meets to get by, including Joe.

Charlie Barnett’s Gabe and Marielle Scott’s Lucy are also seen in the final image with Melanie Field’s Sunrise.

Season 2 of You, created by Greg Berlanti (Arrow) and Sera Gamble (Supernatural) debuts December 26 on the Netflix streaming service.
