EXCLUSIVE: Yung Gravy reveals what fans can expect from his shows – as he adds extra dates to his Australian tour

He’s the American rapper who is set to play headline shows around Australia next year.

And now Yung Gravy (born Matthew Raymond Hauri) has revealed what fans can expect during his upcoming tour.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, the 26-year-old hitmaker said concertgoers can expect something special.

‘Everyone always wants me to do shoey, they have this obsession with shoeys which is weird, but I kind of like it,’ he laughed. 

‘I did a shoey one time. I was very lucky because the whole crowd started chanting, I don’t remember exactly what, how it went, but I had to do it peer pressure,’ he recalled.

‘But I bought the shoes that day. I was so blessed,’ he added.

Yung Gravy burst onto the hip hop scene in 2016 after finding success on SoundCloud.

He recently dropped his fourth studio album, Marvelous.

‘I’ve gotten a lot better at making music and I’m really proud of, of, uh, pretty much everything that came together,’ he said.

‘I was more hands on than I was with anything else, because I actually finally learned after like five years of rapping I learned how to actually do the production side of things so I touched a lot more of the music.’ 

The singer is currently on a 29-city tour of North America with Alex Gumuchian, known by his stage name as bbno$, before reaching Australian shores in February.

He will perform in Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne before playing shows in Christchurch and Wellington.
