‘I sat for the majority of last night’s game with my little, three-year-old girl who loves football. Albeit she’s heavily influenced by her father. But she loves football, she goes to a little football class every week.

‘She thinks its one of the best things to do, she naturally wants to take a ball to the park,’ she explained

While fellow panelist Linda Robson interjected ‘It’s in her genes init?’

‘it very well could be, yes, well not from me obviously but it was interesting just chatting to her because it was very normal for her to just sit and watch it. She was asking about all the players and the numbers on the shirts,’ explained Christine.

Continuing: ‘And then I suddenly realised she never has really fully appreciated what her dad did as a player, she doesn’t really get that. And I thought “imagine if she grew up with a number 8 Lampard shirt and played for England/ Northern Ireland”  and it was just a wonderful moment and I thought this is where it’s supposed to be.’

Back in 2021, Christine revealed that Patricia was ‘gonna have to be’ a footballer during an appearance on Lorraine.

Explaining Frank and his daughter’s training sessions, she told the eponymous host: ‘Do you know the really pathetic thing though, he talks to her like it’s a professional premier league player.

‘He tells her off like, “no, no, one two”, he does all this sort of football conversation when she’s two and a half, Frank. She doesn’t stand a chance, she is gonna have to be a footballer.

Frank, who is now manager of Premier League club Everton, was famously a top midfielder at Chelsea from 2001-2014.

He is also father to Luna, 14, and Isla, 13, who he shares with ex Elen Rivas.
