Neighbours stars Eliza Taylor and Ben Nicholas share moving farewells to Neighbours despite not appearing in the finale

Former Neighbours star Eliza Taylor has shared a touching farewell to her Ramsay Street ‘family’ despite not being invited back for the long-running soap’s finale.

The 32-year-old actress shared a black and white group photo to her Instagram where she posed with friends and former Neighbours co-star Ben Nicholas, 34.

Eliza, who played Janae Timmins on Neighbours from 2005 to 2008, posted the throwback picture on Friday as a tribute to her time on the show.

Captioning the story ‘Farewell Neighbours!’ the beauty continued: ‘Was so grateful to be a part of this iconic show and family!’

She then added a special thank you to Jan Russ, Neighbour’s legendary casting director.

Russ discovered Kylie Minogue and Margot Robbie, and many others who have since gone onto Hollywood careers, including Eliza.

The star signed off the story with a final thank you to ‘all the cast and crew who made it so memorable.’ 

A young Eliza can be seen in the photo with a very merry looking Ben, who played her brother, the loveable rogue Stingray.   

Ben also shared a tribute on his own Instagram, posting some old casts photo along with a caption.

‘Stingers spent time in jail, had a drinking problem, few GFs, a wife, a kid to my brothers GF, some crazy family and that was just the first year!! Ciao for now!!!’ 

In addition to starring in CW’s hit television series The 100, Eliza also appeared in the Netflix film Christmas Inheritance in 2017.

The all-star series finale of Neighbours saw the long-running Australian soap won the television ratings for the first time in more than a decade.

The episode, which was simulcast on Channel 10 and 10 Peach, drew 873,000 metro viewers across both stations, largely thanks to the cast of returning favourites such as Guy Pearce, Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan.

It comes after Eliza and husband Bob Morley, 37, welcomed their first child, Henry, in March. 

Bob rose to fame playing Drew Curtis on Home and Away in 2006 before starring as Aidan Foster in Neighbours from 2011 to 2013.
