Scarlett Moffatt FINALLY passes her driving test after failing 13 TIMES and reveals the first place she drove to was McDonalds for chicken nuggets

Scarlett Moffatt has finally passed her driving test, after failing 13 times.

After completing an intensive course, the Gogglebox star managed to obtain her driving license in September, and revealed that the first place she drove to was McDonalds for chicken nuggets.

Following 15 years of attempting to pass her driving test, Scarlett, 32, admitted she cried when she finally achieved her goal, but confessed that she still ‘cannot park’.

The former Queen of the Jungle told how first place she went after passing her test was McDonald’s, recalling: ‘I always said the first place I was gonna go was McDonald’s and honestly, I felt so excited.

‘The woman on the Tannoy on the drive-through was probably like she’s far too excited for these nuggets. But it just felt so good to be able to drive there myself.’

However, the presenter also explained how passing her driving test has actually improved her health, revealing: ‘I feel like I’m now the designated driver for everyone, and actually weirdly, I feel healthier for it,

‘In the sense that before when we would go out for food I would always have a couple glasses of wine, whereas now I’m not, because I’m the designated driver.’

Gushing over her achievement, Scarlett said: ‘I just get so excited every time I get my car keys, because I’ve been learning since I was 17 and I’m 32 now, you know it’s been a long time coming.’

The emotional star was particularly impressed that she was able to successfully complete her parking manoeuvre, adding: ‘I don’t mean to live up to the stereotypical ”women can’t park,” but this woman cannot park.’

Back in March, Scarlett announced that she would be fronting a 10-part BBC One series titled Scarlett’s Driving School.

The show sees Moffatt open the doors to her very own driving school in Teeside to help learner drivers who were unable to have lessons due to the coronavirus pandemic and instead have been taught by family and friends.

Each learner will do an intensive crash course, receiving help from some of the UK’s top professional driving instructors, before attempting to pass their test in just five days.

Scarlett said: ‘I’m over the moon to be part of such an exciting series on BBC One.

‘Having failed my driving test 13 times I know exactly how these learners feel and how much strain it puts on the person teaching you – no one will get in a car with me anymore!

‘I hope that my new show will give us all the confidence to finally rip up those L plates and hit the road.’

Scarlett’s Driving School is coming soon to BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
